Archtype poll

We haven't decided on faction yet, although it seems like Empire will be the winner. Just curious as to the archtype you will be playing, tank, healer, rogue, mage.

It is tough for me to vote b/c honestly my choice is very faction dependent. If we roll Republic I'm going trooper all the way. But if we stay Sith I'm gonna stay SI. The problem there is with subspecs and so much info unknown about the game that leaves all archetypes open to me....

True that, but I've decided that I'm playing a tank Sith Warrior or Jedi Knight, either way. As I get older, my play style has become just jumping into the middle of groups and pissing off as many people as possible before I die. Sorta like IRL.

I guess I'll say this. The consular just looks gay to me. So....

Republic: DPS Trooper (Mage?lol)

Sith: DPS/DOT SI or Healy SI (Mage/Heals)

ranged tank (trooper/bh)

Defenetly BH. Probably tank spec, but might go dps BH route aswell.

I will be a BH tank when I lvl but I want to switch to DPS BH when I hit cap.

I'm honest with myself. I'm older, and less and less capable in twitch or fast response gameplay.

Rogue classes, which I've always favored, are squishy-- if you get focused, you need to react very quickly. I've found that I perform better now with more survivability.

So, this will be the first time in an MMO I haven't rolled a squishy, kiting ranged dps class.

u have to remember that in this poll "tank" also includes non-rogue melee DPS

This was just a generic poll, however, I'm pretty surprised at the amount of tanks. Some one here needs to l2dps.

Depends on how they do the advance classes and what kind of roll tanks will play in PVP, but mainly I'm planing BH/SW tank, DPS for PVP if tanks have no roll.

I like the control aspect of tanks in Warhammer PVP and all other MMOs PVE. IMO the tank has the biggest input towards the groups survival.

but being melee heavy is a problem. You need a good core group of ranged DPSers

You are forgetting, Tank != Melee in SWTOR

Also, just realized this poll is kinda messed up, it shouldn't be "rogue" and "Mage" it should be ranged DPS and melee DPS

I voted tank but i could easily do the dps - i just hate the dual lightsabers or the staff - Maybe dps SI.

Actually since most of TOR is blaster fire, that's what the BH is for a ranged tank. And I'm 100% positive on this since major MMOs do have re-specializing. So inside your advanced class you'll have that option. If I go Powertech, I'm confidence it will have a PvP side to it.

im either going SI full heals or the other healer for off healers.

im guessing Sith Assassin would be under rogue so, that will be mine lol, but i will be a healing rouge
